Early Years

Through the EYFS Framework, our curriculum intent is to provide a practical and playful approach to learning, encouraging pupils’ independence through exploration and challenge in preparation for Key Stage 1.

The Characteristics of Effective Teaching and Learning are at the heart of the EYFS curriculum with the intention of building upon children’s ability to learn and acknowledging that they learn in a variety of ways.  All of the learning experiences that are planned allow pupils to develop these skills and to access the curriculum independently.

Our curriculum has been carefully planned so that the knowledge and skills taught in EYFS prepare our pupils for the next step of their journey in KS1.

At Newton Regis we have a nursery (pre-school) where children are admitted the term after they turn three. Parents that wish to use their 15 free hours free will be offered 5 mornings and those that are entitled to 30 hours will be offered full time.

To find out if you are entitled to 30 hours and to apply for the code please use the link below
